Capítulo 2: A Expulsão de Unicron

 Os Recém-nascidos Primes rapidamente se comprometeram em aprender suas habilidades, treinar e bolar estrategias para seu futuro conflito com Unicron. Eles foram divididos em 3 equipes naturas: Guerreiros (Prima, Vector, Megatronus, Onyx E Amalgamous), Estrategistas (Trion, Quintus, Maximo, and Micronus), e os "Agentes Livres"  capazes de lutar de forma direta ou com ataques mais sutis e variados (Alchemist, Solus, Nexus, e o Treze). Muitas estrategias foram consideradas e abandonadas.

Conflitos de personalidade ferveram entre alguns dos Treze (Entre o próprio Primus-Prima e a forte  influência do Unicron no Megatronus em particular) Mas seu propósito em comum os uniram. Foi nesse período que Megatronus pediu a reconstrução do "Requiem Blaster" do Solus, e mesmo ela sem querer fazer tal coisa, decidiu que confiava nele e faria como ele pediu. A fé que colocou nele e no belo discurso proclamado, que emocionou o muitas vezes evitado Megatronus profundamente. Amarrou-o a ela em absoluta lealdade e amor inabalável, suavizando suas bordas duras, embora inflando seu grande orgulho.

 Treinamento contínuo e amizades formadas. Eventualmente eles estabeleceram um plano para a batalha que seria distrair Unicron para abrir um caminho para o Treze chegar no núcleo do mesmo. Quando uma centelha igual ao de Primus  reagir como a do Unicron, caso a dele seja extinta a centelha de Primus também seria extinta. Assim depois os Primes tentariam recuperar e revivê-la.

Em outras palavras se eles "matarem" a centelha de Unicron a centelha de Primus também seria morta.

 Quando chegou a hora para a batalha ela mostrou ser mais infernal  e terrível do que eles imaginavam e treinados. Unicron os atacou mais fortes do que eles esperavam, ainda pior , a mera presença de sua "Aura" esmaga todas suas esperanças e sonhos quase fazendo que suas centelhas se afogassem  em desespero e escuridão. Apenas as confortaves palavras "Todos em um" falada pelo Treze pode tranquilizar cada um e reviver suas esperanças, assim que eles continuem lutando, que eventualmente tendo sucesso em seu objetivo. Assim Unicron foi expulso, nocauteado em inconsciência, esperançosamente para sempre. Mas isso não aconteceu sem um custo. Ouve vários ferimentos graves, mas pior, cada um foi contaminado com um toque de escuridão por sua proximidade a Unicron.

The newborn Primes quickly settle down to learn their own abilities, to train and to strategize for the coming conflict with Unicron. They split into three natural teams: Warriors (Prima, Vector, Megatronus, Onyx and Amalgamous), Strategists (Trion, Quintus, Maximo, and Micronus), and "Free Agents" capable of direct battle or more subtle/varied attacks (Alchemist, Solus, Nexus, andThirteen). Many strategies were discussed and abandoned.
Personality conflicts simmered between some of the Thirteen (between the very Primus-like Prima and strongly Unicron-influenced Megatronus particularly) but their unified purpose bound them together. It was in this period that Megatronus requested the construction of the Requiem Blaster from Solus, and though she was hesitant to make such a thing she decided that she trusted him and would do as he asked. The faith she put in him and the fine speech she made proclaiming it touched the often shunned Megatronus deeply and bound him to her in absolute loyalty and unswerving love, softening his hard edges, though inflating his great pride.
Training continued and friendships formed. Eventually they settled on a plan to battle and distract Unicron as a cover to opening a path for Thirteen to be inserted in close proximity to Unicron's core. Once there his uniquely Primus-like spark would react with Unicron's and both would be knocked into involuntary shutdown. The Primes would then retrieve and (hopefully) revive him.

When the time of battle came it proved far more hellish and terrible than they had imagined in all their training. Unicron assaulted them with defenses far beyond their expectations and, worse, the mere aura of his presence crushed all their hopes and dreams nearly drowning their sparks in despair and darkness. Only the comforting words "All are One" sent by Thirteen to reassure each and rekindle their hope let them continue fighting, eventually succeeding in their goal. Unicron was vanquished, knocked into unconsciousness, hopefully forever. This was not without cost.There were many grave injuries. But worse each of them had been tainted with a touch of darkness by their closeness to Unicron.
